Frequently Asked Questions
Questions from clients who are thinking about building a website, and detailers who want to understand the process before they start.
We build custom coded websites for auto detailers and service businesses. That means hand-built pages using real HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — not drag-and-drop templates. Every site is designed to look premium, load fast, rank on Google, and convert visitors into customers.
Primarily auto detailers — mobile detailers, detail shops, ceramic coating specialists, and paint correction businesses. We also build for other service businesses that want a cleaner, more professional online presence than what a basic website builder delivers.
Reach out through the contact page. We'll review your business, services, goals, and branding direction. Once we have the information we need, the build process begins. Most projects start within a few days of receiving your content and details.
Timeline depends on the number of pages and how quickly you provide your content. A standard 5–7 page site can often be completed within one to two weeks once all your information is in hand. Larger SEO-focused builds with 15–20+ pages take longer. The biggest delay in most projects is waiting on photos, services, and pricing from the client — so having that ready speeds things up significantly.
Not at all. You bring the business knowledge — your services, your area, your story. We handle the design, the code, the structure, and the SEO setup. We'll guide you through anything that requires your input.
We build on Webador, a CMS platform that gives clients ownership and control of their own website. You remain the account owner. We build the site as a team member and hand it fully off to you. It supports custom domain connections, contact forms, and full custom HTML/CSS layouts.
Yes. If you already have a site that undersells your business, we can rebuild it with a stronger layout, better mobile performance, cleaner design, and improved SEO structure. Most rebuilds result in a noticeably more professional presentation from the first visit.
To build your site efficiently, we'll need:
- Business name, phone number, and email
- List of services and starting prices
- Service area cities
- Logo file (PNG or SVG preferred)
- 15–30 photos of your work
- 5–10 customer reviews
- Social media links
- Booking link (if you use scheduling software)
- Short description about your business
If you don't have some of these, we can work with what you have and write the descriptions and content for you.
Photos are extremely important for detailing websites. Customers trust visuals more than text. If you don't have before and after photos yet, we strongly recommend getting some before launching. In the meantime, we can build the structure and layout, then add your photos when they're ready. The better the photos, the more customers trust the business.
We can work with what you have. If you don't have a logo, we'll discuss your branding direction — colors, style, and feel — and can incorporate basic branding into the design. A proper logo is always recommended for a professional look, but it doesn't have to hold up the build.
Cloudinary is a professional image hosting system built for websites. Uploading photos through Cloudinary means they're automatically compressed, optimized for mobile, and delivered from the closest server to your visitor. This keeps your site loading fast even with many high-quality images. Direct uploads to a website builder can slow the site down significantly — Cloudinary prevents that.
Yes. Most detailing clients struggle to write their own service descriptions. Writing SEO-friendly service content, package descriptions, and call-to-action copy is part of what we do. You provide the basic information about your services and we handle the actual writing.
It depends on your goals. A basic professional site needs at least 5–7 pages. A site built for strong Google rankings typically needs 10–20 pages. Here's how it breaks down:
- Basic (5–7 pages): Home, Services, About, Gallery, Reviews, Contact, FAQ
- Professional (10–15 pages): All of the above plus individual service pages
- SEO Powerhouse (15–25 pages): All of the above plus city/location pages
More pages give Google more opportunities to understand your business and rank it for relevant searches.
A page is any section of your website with its own unique URL and purpose. For example, your Home page, your Ceramic Coating page, and your Contact page are all separate pages. Scrolling sections within a single page do not count as separate pages — even if your homepage has five sections, it's still one page.
Google ranks individual pages, not entire websites. A single Services page that lists everything gives Google one page to rank. Individual service pages — like a dedicated Ceramic Coating page or Paint Correction page — each give Google a separate, focused page to rank for those specific searches. That dramatically increases your chances of showing up when someone searches "ceramic coating near me" or "paint correction Columbus."
City pages are individual pages targeting each city you serve — for example, "Mobile Detailing Columbus," "Auto Detailing Dublin," or "Ceramic Coating Westerville." Each page targets local searches in that city. For mobile detailers especially, these pages are one of the most powerful ways to dominate local search results across your entire service area instead of just your home city.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In plain terms, it's how you help Google understand your website so it can show it to people searching for your services. Without SEO, Google may not know what your business does or where you're located. With proper SEO structure, Google understands your services, your cities, and your business — and shows your site to people actively searching for what you offer.
Schema markup is extra information added to your website that only search engines read — visitors don't see it. It tells Google things like your business name, phone number, service area, hours, and reviews. JSON-LD is simply the format used to write that data. Think of it like a structured information card Google reads about your business. It helps Google confirm what you do, where you do it, and how customers rate you — which can directly affect your local rankings.
Yes. Every site we build includes a proper schema stack. That typically includes:
- LocalBusiness schema (core business identity)
- Service schema (for each service page)
- AggregateRating schema (reviews and ratings)
- FAQPage schema (on FAQ pages)
- Organization and Website schema
These work together to give Google a complete, structured picture of the business — not just scattered information it has to guess at.
Your Google Business Profile controls how your business appears in local search results and on Google Maps. When someone searches "mobile detailing near me," Google shows a map pack of business listings before it shows websites. A properly set up profile with correct service areas, photos, hours, and reviews can drive more calls than the website itself. We recommend having it set up before or during the website build so everything connects properly.
Semantic SEO means building your website as a connected network of related pages instead of isolated pages targeting single keywords. When your service pages link to your city pages which link back to your service overview, Google sees a site with deep knowledge and authority on the subject. This is how detailers build sites that rank for dozens of searches instead of just one or two. It's the difference between a five-page site and a twenty-page SEO system.
Pricing depends on the scope of the project. General ranges:
- Basic (5 pages): Starting around $500–$1,000
- Professional (10–15 pages): $1,500–$3,000
- SEO Website System (20+ pages): $3,000–$6,000
The real question isn't the cost — it's the return. If a website brings in two or three new detailing customers per week at $200 per ticket, that's $1,600–$2,400 per month in new revenue. The website pays for itself quickly when built to actually generate leads.
A $500 website is usually informational — a few pages, minimal SEO, built from a generic template. A professional website is a marketing system. It:
- Ranks on Google for multiple service and city searches
- Builds trust through reviews, photos, and premium design
- Converts visitors into calls, texts, and bookings
- Includes schema markup and structured data
- Loads fast and works properly on phones
The design might look similar on the surface. The strategy and structure underneath are completely different.
Yes. New pages, content updates, service additions, and feature changes can be handled after launch. Reach out through the contact page and we'll discuss what's needed. Most updates are straightforward and can be turned around quickly.
Webador is a website builder and CMS platform that allows for full custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript layouts. We use it because it gives clients ownership of their own account and website, while still supporting the custom-coded designs and advanced features we build. It's not a limiting drag-and-drop builder — it's a platform that lets us push fully custom code while keeping the site manageable for the client after handoff.
For most detailing websites we recommend the Pro or Business plan. The Pro plan covers custom domain connection, contact forms, and enough storage for most sites. The Business plan is better for larger sites with advanced features, larger image galleries, or more complex custom layouts. We'll advise you on which plan fits your project before you purchase.
Yes. Your Webador account is in your name and you are the owner. We are added as a team member to build and manage the site. You keep full ownership and control. If you ever want to make changes yourself or bring in someone else, the account is yours.
Yes. You can purchase a domain through Webador directly or connect a domain you already own. If you have an existing domain registered elsewhere, you'll need to provide DNS access or login credentials so the connection can be made. We handle the technical setup.
